Tim Fitzpatrick – Sound Engineer, Audio Producer and Publisher of Audiobooks.
Tim was born, raised and educated in Taunton, Somerset and conceived of this project when he realised how valuable the recording of the spoken word can be in fostering creativity and business enterprise in a local community. He was trained in sound engineering at Bridgwater College and at the well-known Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and has a wide range recording and production experience going back 20 years.
“ I have a love for the Somerset countryside and it’s where I feel most at home. My passion for sound commenced in primary school when the percussion trolley was wheeled out. I was compelled to pick up the instruments and play. From then I learnt the drums and played in various local groups and bands. Before I finished school I started getting involved in recording and editing music and doing live sound for school shows.
When I went to college I discovered my first proper recording studio. I was mesmerised and drawn in deeper. I decided to study Music Technology at Bridgwater College and then went to LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) where I spent three of the best years of my life.
I came away with a BA Hons in Sound Technology and a lot of experience, working freelance as a live sound engineer at local clubs and venues including the Cavern Club, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and for Cream Dance Music UK. I worked as a road/stage crew member for an events crew company, based in the North West, UK.
In my subsequent career as a sound engineer I have worked for Britannia Row Productions in London and as Production Arts and Performing Arts Technician at Bridgwater College. I completed a documentary film making course with Somerset Film. I have done many audio and video projects for several holistic health and self development organisations.
What people have to say about their own lives, their art, their business, their work and their experience is at the heart of ToneTalk Audio. I want to help facilitate and allow people’s creativity, interest and passion to speak and to forward their purpose and development. ”
