JO HOLDAWAY : ILLUSTRATORDigital Illustration & Design

Jo Holdaway is an accomplished digital illustrator who creates dynamic snapshots of everyday life in bold, vibrant colour.
Growing up in Weston-super-Mare in the 80’s she has fond memories of a very ‘outdoor’ childhood with many family holidays spent in Cornwall, Devon and Wales. Camping, coastlines and various canines featured quite heavily in her upbringing and has had a big influence on her lifestyle and creative work ever since!
In 2007 she moved to Amsterdam and spent 2 years pursuing her own creative interests; developing her graphic illustrations and picking up commissioned work both privately and commercially.
With her graphic design background, colour and composition has always been integral to her work as she strives to make work that raises a smile. She has had work published in New York’s 3×3 Illustration annual, The Holland Times, The Ride cycling journal, KLM Inflight magazine.
During the lockdown in 2020 she produced 12 portraits of local key workers under the title SUPER+HUMAN to highlight the the hard work and dedication they showed to their professions. She hopes to exhibit these locally in 2021.
Jo loves producing private commissions and has sent numerous pieces around the planet as well as locally. She currently lives in Creech St Michael with her partner and two terriers.
