Popular FAQ's

We will arrange a telephone call, or Zoom, or a face-to-face meeting, to find out what you want to achieve from the video. It’s good to have a think about the following: What is the purpose of your video? What is your message? Do you have any ideas around the concept? Who is your audience? Where will the video be seen? If you don’t know the answers to any of these questions, that’s fine. We’ll guide you on all of this and show you examples of different kinds of films from our Portfolio.

The length of a shoot does vary with each project. For a simple piece to camera, the filming could take just a couple of hours. With the addition of b-roll (cut aways at the same location), we’re looking at half a day. For multiple interviews and b-roll, please allow a full day. For a case study or a showcase type of film that includes multiple interviews at more than one location we would need 2-3 days. For events and shows we need 2-4 hours of set up time and an hour to break down. We can give you a more precise idea of the production time once we have details of what you require.

We will provide you with the questions ahead of time to give you a chance to think about and/or practise your answers. We will edit out the questions, so what we are looking for is concise statements from you with the question forming part of your answer. Do your best to slow down and anunciate your words. We will edit your piece together so don’t worry too much about the odd stumble or mistake, we’ll just stop for a moment and then ask you to redo it. Please wear comfortable clothing that’s not too busy, such as stripes, as this can interfere with the camera and avoid potentially noisy jewellery. Also don’t wear any green if we are filming you in front of a green screen. We will usually require the interviewee for between 30 – 60 mins, once we are set up. We have conducted hundreds of interviews before and will do our best to help you feel relaxed!

The whole production process from start to end usually takes 4-6 weeks, but if you need a fast turnaround please contact us and we’ll do our best to accomodate you.

We’ll create a detailed, individual quote for your project, so you only pay for what you need. We can also provide a set of options such as low, medium and higher budgets. It’s always good for us to know if you have a budget in mind, we can then give you options on how we can work to it. These are the various elements that relate to cost, particularly on larger projects: Pre Production Client meetings Research, scripting and storyboarding Location recee Planning the shoot Equipment requirements and additional kit hire Sourcing actors/props/costumes Production Number of crew for the length of shoot including set up and break down Travel time and expenses Accomodation if overnight stay is required Actors fees Hair/make-up Post Production Editing CGI and animation Voice over recording Subtitling Sound design Licences for music and stock footage Encoding – optimisation for social networks

Our standard payment terms are 50% deposit on the confirmation of the job, with the balance payment on delivery, once you’ve signed off. The deposit allows us to book the filming and edit time into our schedule, and also to begin pre-production work immediately with all it’s associated costs.

Absolutely. We store all footage from shoots along with the edit files on a secure hard drive. The entire edit can be re-opened and changes made in the future.
