About This Event
If you like to philosophise and discuss in-depth matters of business, covering aspects that you won’t find in any manual, then why not join like minded people and share your views and thoughts.
Not for the light hearted conversationalist, the objective of this event is to share knowledge, ideas and challenges that occur when we grow as people, as businesses, and everything that surrounds it. We will not shy away from real topics and themes and will generate challenging questions.
We may discuss subjects such as:
- Sales, Marketing and branding
- HR and people
- Leadership and management
- Finance, funding and legal
- Politics and policies
- Planning and investment
- Issues and challenges
- Somerset and/or towns
- Sectors and market places
- Human behaviour and psychology
- Innovation
- Technology
- Networking
- Motivation
- Business Growth
- And much more
This small group event is ideal for leaders, business owners and managers who have a drive for understanding the many layers an active business life has to offer.
There will be no presentations but simply opening subjects or questions for the group to discuss. It will be casually chaired by Creative Innovation Centre Director Andrew Knutt and refreshments will be served.
The openers for this first session will include subjects such as:
- Where is Somerset going right and wrong
- How can we develop creative practice
- The positives and negatives of adopting change
- How to motivate staff
- Creative blocks
We are happy for you to come with a particular subject to discuss and at the end of discussions we may come away with new ways and ideas of affecting positive change in ourselves and our businesses.
“Sharing Knowledge Is Not About Giving People Something, Or Getting Something From Them. That Is Only Valid For Information Sharing. Sharing Knowledge Occurs When People Are Genuinely Interested In Helping One Another Develop New Capacities For Action; It Is About Creating Learning Processes.” – Peter Senge, author of The Fifth Discipline

how can we help you?
Contact us at Somerset Arts Business Cultural Alliance to submit a business inquiry.
I have been involved in many of SABCA’s events and cannot think of a better organisation to support the arts and culture sector in Somerset. It goes from strength to strength. The vast knowledge and business support that I have seen practiced in both digital and physical environments are second to none. It is one of the most essential sector support groups in Somerset as we have a lot of arts, culture and creativity here and I support all their work now and in the future.
