9.40 John Taylerson Why Marketing Matters & Today’s Landscape John Taylerson took over the role of chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in April 2012 following five active years on the regional board. John is a practical but passionate exponent of marketing with hands-on experience of each stage of the food and drink sector from farming to consumer retail. 4.00 Rupert Cox Closing Address – Business in Somerset and marketing the South West as a place for business Rupert is the CEO of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and Into Somerset and operates his own business in Somerset. His family have been farming in the county over many generations. As well as being passionate about the county for the quality of life it offers, there is very little that Rupert doesn’t know about the Somerset and South West business communities.
