Your chance to remix Sir David Attenborough’s recordings
Your chance to remix Sir David Attenborough’s recordings! Songlines and PRS Foundation launch competition aimed at music makers.
PRS Foundation and Songlines, the leading world music magazine have unveiled a fantastic and unique competition for UK music creators to remix one of David Attenborough’s sound recordings from his critically acclaimed album, My Field Recordings From Across The Planet.
The remixes will be judged by a panel including Sir David Attenborough himself, alongside Ghostpoet, Matthew Herbert, Cerys Matthews, Hannah Peel and Gilles Peterson. They’ll narrow the remixes down to the best 6, which will then be put to a public vote.
The competition winner will receive an award at this year’s Songlines Music Awards ceremony in November and perform at the aftershow party.
To enter the competition, UK music makers will need to download the track, ‘Gender Wayang’ and submit their remixed version via private SoundCloud link by 6pm on Monday 10th June. Check out the link below for full details on the sound recording and competition…
